DS-Mobile Client Restore Guide

Restoring your data is always on-demand. You may restore the entire set or perform a partial restore, which allows you to select the desired data from the backup set.

Data can be restored to original or alternate locations.

To start a restore process do the following:

1. Highlight the backup set you are required to restore from.
2. Click “Restore Now” or right click on the backup set and click “Restore”.

3. The Restore Data Wizard appears. Select Items.

- Select the backed up items you want to restore.
- Use the “Time filter” section to narrow the data you want to restore.
- When a file is selected, you may click the “Generations” button to view the different versions and select the one you want. The default is the last (newest) generation.

4. Click Next after making your selection, the “Restore Destination” step will now appear:

Restore Destination:
- Original location – will restore the files to the original computer and folder. The process will overwrite any files that might exist in this path. Click “Finish” to start the restore process.
- Original computer, alternate directory – click “Next” to restore to a different folder. Select the restore folder and click “Finish”.

- Alternate Computer/Directory – click “Next” to choose that destination computer and directory for this restore.

• Select the destination computer and supply the credentials to this machine.
• Click “Next”, then choose the restore directory. Click “Finish” to start the restore process.

5. The restore process will start immediately.

6. Check the Activity Log Tab for results. If you see any errors, check the Event Log for this activity.
